As Part of our Thrills and Chills Series, focusing on dynamic thrillers, mystery, and horror, we bring to you this conversation featuring mystery writer Rachel Howzell Hall who will be discussing her latest release, And Now She’s Gone.
After the critically-acclaimed Lou Norton mystery series and last year’s multiple-award-nominated They All Fall Down, Rachel Howzell Hall now returns to spin a brilliant, page-turning novel of suspense with a dark edge that is already on many must-read lists. Featuring a compelling and complicated heroine among a diverse group of characters, AND NOW SHE’S GONE (A Forge Hardcover, On-sale: September 22, 2020) explores the nature of secrets — and how violence and fear can lead you to abandon everything in order to survive.
Isabel Lincoln is gone… but is she missing? It’s up to Grayson Sykes to find her. Although she is reluctant to track down a woman who may not want to be found, Gray’s search for Isabel Lincoln becomes more complicated and dangerous with every new revelation about the woman’s secrets and the truth she’s hidden from her friends and family. And Gray is hiding secrets of her own, and with each move she makes on the case, she may be getting closer to her own past coming back to haunt her.
How far would you go to disappear?  And how difficult is it to stay hidden? With AND NOW SHE’S GONE, Rachel Howzell Hall once again brings her talented and unique voice to tell a masterful tale of lies, twists, and surprises, which will keep readers on the edge-of-their-seats.
Rachel Howzell Hall is the author of the acclaimed Lou Norton series, the standalone thriller They All Fall Down, and co-author of The Good Sister with James Patterson, which appeared in the New York Times bestselling anthology The Family Lawyer. She is the senior development officer for the Donor Relations Department at Cedars Sinai. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors for the Mystery Writers of America, is a member of Sisters in Crime, and has participated as a mentor in the Association of Writers and Writing Programs’ Writer-to-Writer Program.
