Jernard Wells is an award-winning celebrity chef, TV host, bestselling cookbook author known from numerous appearances on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel. He and actress Denise Boutte teamed up to create a cookbook of modified Southen favorites.
Denise Boutte is a Louisiana-born actress and producer, known for Why Did I Get Married? (2007), Extreme Movie (2008) and Young Justice (2010). She has been married to Kevin Boutte since 2003. They have one child.
Chef Wells has worked with Tyler Perry, NBA star Brandon Ingram, Lady Antebellum and Ricky Bell & Michael Bivins of New Edition/BBD. He has been featured on the Today Show, People magazine, Steve Harvey Morning Show, Essence magazine, Pickler & Ben, Home & Family, Lifetime, & HLN, among others.
The James Beard House-honored Chef is affectionately called “The Family Chef” because he loves using food to promote positive family images. He and his wife of 20 years have nine children and live in Atlanta.
